Hmm that kinda makes sense to me, I mean the ones in the center of the ds are not greasable either, so guess its okay.

Where do you guys buy spicer u-joints? I bought a duralast just to have something to put the shaft back together.

There is a few places online you can get them that have cheap shipping. Or you can order them directly from Adams if you want to. I think shipping is like $5.95 or $7.95 for each u joint which was the downfall.

Ordering 4 from amazon with free shipping for $16.00 each...not too bad

So went to pull the the rocker skins today to sand them down and paint them...yeah not gonna happen

Sliders are in the way on some of the bolts, others are stripped or rusted in bad

Anyone have tips on how to get the old nutserts out? Prolly gonna just drill all the heads off and redo them if that's not Extreemly hard

The only thing I have ever done with stripped or old nutserts is tack weld them in place and retap. I don't know if there is enough material to helicoil them?

I see what your saying, that sucks. Good luck. Try a bunch of pb blaster and hope they budge.
Try to cut a cheap allen wrench down to fit it in there.

It's been mentioned before, but for the ones that you can't get to due to the sliders being in the way, others have loosened the body mounts and jacked up one side of the tub at a time. Lift up each side of the tub just enough that the nutserts heads clear the sliders for hopefully an allen wrench or worse case, a drill.

I was thinking about doing that, but most of them ended up just stripping even with the correct allen key. Im going to just spray over them today better than I did yesterday once I tape everything off. I don't mind not seeing the bolts till I have time to redo them fully. Wish I would have thought ahead and used some antiseeze on them the first time around.

So got the rotopax today...missing one mount or it would be on. Ended up using the genright clamps I already had, which of course wouldn't work with the studs so ended up welding them to the mounting plate. Not pretty but it'll be hidden and should be strong. Gonna figure out a way to test that somehow tho.

I was gonna do a few nutserts but couldn't get it ligned up well with any of the holes so this was option one and I'm sure I'll redo it.

Pics tomorrow when it cools down.

Still no rear axle shaft or additional rotopax mount thing, but it's on and moved the back up lights

Learned today that I got lucky with getting my rear axle shaft under warranty for the bent flange...just have no faith in them anymore to not happen again since it was on maybe a week. Is Yukon a bad brand?

Prolly gonna only mall crawl for a while till I think about parting or selling it.
