2015 JKX - East Coast

And of course you meant to say thanks for the 12-18 hour days these guys put in crawling through mud and rain and helping on repairs so you can watch for free and complain about the narration, music, and content.

Eddie and Cindy absolutely killed it and set the standard for JKX and for that matter any other trip video. As I've said before I don't know how they do it. They were always the first up and last to bed on the last JKX I went on.

I think everyone needs to chill out and appreciate the work these guys did in in what 2-1/2 weeks to get this out instead of complaining about it from their couches.

Totally agree with all you just said!!!These are not docu pieces they are sponsor based vids about the experience and the products seen throughout the vids.

We should Also remember that there are now three events (or more) throughout the year so time, resources, etc are spread thinner as well. One should not compare and just enjoy the teaser clips and longer vids for what they are. I think it's cool there are vids at all. Big thanks to Mel and the sponsors for putting on these events.

We got super spoiled watching the WAL approach. The good thing is Eddie and Cindy are still filming trips and sharing vids. Just not JKXs.

X2 and thanks again to Nitto and Northridge.

The NR video was awesome! I agree they're different from the WAL videos, but I could get used to the NR style..

I'm sure TeraFlex spent many months designing their tire carrier. That doesn't mean the end result was a win.

jhires expressed my thoughts and reactions perfectly.

Whaaaaat??? With your love for all things Northridge I figured you would have sent in your Academy Awards nomination already.

Honestly, I thought that video lacked character and passion. Maybe I'm wrong too but it sounds like that douche veganjeeper was the narrator too?

In any case, I am disappointed with the quality and editing. Maybe it would've been better if they took some more time, but I could be wrong.

Not saying I disagree. Guess I went in with low expectations. Lol. I thought the nitto vid was kind of cool, again with knowing it was bound to different from WAL studios. A lot more on the brand and tires.

Did NR put out more than the few teasers? I think I saw clips and like a 3 min vid. Don't recall too much of it.

Thankful we still get WAL vids for all the other trips that are posted up here and with Wayalifers. 👍

Well it won't compare to anything Eddie and Cindy could do, let alone replace them.

Yep, true that. Before we got a full length movie with plot, character and story line development. Now it's what, 8 minutes or so. Clearly can't compare.

The impression that I get is that for Eddie and Cindy it's personal and their goal is to make those that weren't there feel like they were. These others, while enjoyable, didn't have that personal feel.

For their first video got to say it was ok. I am sure they are reading the posts and will adjust fire accordingly. That beings said if the 6th video is like this, I won't enjoy them as much.

My critique: Anyone can show jeeps going off road and playing in the mud. YouTube is full of that. At the end of the first WAL video I ever saw, my thoughts were 1. Great wheeling-wish I was there 2. Wish I was hanging out and having some American Honey with the group. What I enjoy on the older series was yes the rigs and gear, but the people who are the heart and soul of Jeep. After this one, don't know a single person or heard a name other than Mel. Don't know if their are 1st timers, or hard core folks at all. We didn't hear one holy crap I almost or did slide into that tree story.

First shot version. Not bad, I am looking forward to seeing their evolution in movie making.....

I think everyone is being too critical! For a first time video it's very impressive! I enjoyed it. But I also went in knowig it wasn't gonna be a wayalife video.

First time video? Lol!!

The guy they hired does it for a living. That video was more boring then watching earthworms fucking.
