Calling out Bruiser Conversions!

I wouldn't take it. It's not free you kind of paid for it in the first place when they jacked everything up. Once you tell them yes though I'm sure all legal action would get thrown out the door. If they've done this much crappy work to yours and others why trust them again.

No way in hell I would bring it back to busier. Sounds like the guy your dealing with now knows what he is doing. I'd stick with him and tell busier to go screw.

Well I'm going to give them another chance. They offered to put an LS3 motor in my Jeep for free.

Wait what??? Dude, what are you thinking, haven't you learned your lesson? First, your friend had a 2 year customer service nightmare with them, and you still used them. Then you had your own nightmare with them, and you're going to use them AGAIN???:grayno:

You cant be serious if you are going back to them.

The only way, and this is even a stretch I would ever go back to a shop after something like this, is with a lawyer, to get a written and signed document stating the work to be done, and have them sign it and get it notarized so it actually happens.

The question I would ask myself is whether I would ever trust anything they built me to get me home off the trail.

well they are making the offer I have everything in writing and I'm documenting all of it.

I'm sure you got everything I writing the first time. Why In January....you were raving about the install? It's hard for me to believe it went so South in 4 months that you "Need to call Brusier out".

Seems to me you just used and leveraged this website against Brusier to get sometime else that you as a customer weren't 100% happy with.

Besides in your own words. How do you know Brusier is going to have enough money to finish your build? I'm thinking if you really believed they were robbing Peter to pay Paul in no way would you leave your rig with them.

I'm unsubscribing......

Welcome to the Internet forums. That's what everyone does..

I had a few growing pains with the conversion and I thought that it was all normal... I was just waiting it out and hoping that it would run it's course and they would get it straightened out. After EJS though, I had finally accepted the fact that the conversion was a dud and was probably never going to work correctly. I figured as long as I continued to praise the company, they would continue happily helping me with the issues.

Now i'm stuck in a position where I've spent a whole ton of money on a Jeep and my only cost effective option is to have them try another conversion because they told me they'd do it for free. At least the LS motor will be a lot easier to get parts for than that diesel.

I really don't. But at this point I really don't think I have any options left. My logic right now is the LS is a lot easier to work and and get parts for than that diesel. And I have it in writing that they will install it for free.

And yes it will probably have issues but at least with an LS I can have them fixed by someone other than bruiser, I can probably even do some work myself. It is impossible to get parts for that chinese cummins. I can get parts for an LS3 at Advance Auto Parts.

You are funny....you just used the word "TRY"

I used "try" in the context of "trying" a different conversion. The couple of people that I have talked to with their LS conversions say that they actually work pretty well. On the other hand, those that I have talked to with their diesel conversions have also had the same issues as me.

And their offer came out of the blue. So even after all this, if they can put an LS3 in my Jeep and get it running well, more power to them.

Thats actually not a bad idea.

The only reason I am going back is because at this point, I have no other choice, because I have it in writing that they will do the conversion for free. And even though I have little faith in their conversion, it will be a lot easier for me to get parts and service for an LS3 than the diesel.

I really don't want want to take legal action. That is the absolute last resort for me. I just want to have a working Jeep. And like I said, it's a lot easier to service and gets parts for an LS motor and the diesel.

It is next to impossible to get parts for that Cummins. It took me a few days just to find someone that sold the oil filters for it!

Are they going to refund you the money for the difference between the Cummins and LS swap? Compensate you for the lost time and trouble? Or are you going to take a LS swap with some lube and walk away?

That's my plan. Originally the cost between the Cummins ISF & and the 430 LS3 was the same, it was a pick between the two.

So i'm just figuring i'll give it a try, and just maybe they'll get the LS3 right in my Jeep and it will run well and everyone will be happy and I will take back everything I said and forget all my issues with the diesel. And even if it has issues at least I have a motor that I can get worked on and is very easy to get parts for.
