Went down to wildwood for jeep invasion ... It was ok but wasn't my type of event ... Definitely had more of a car show crowd, not the usual friendly guys and gals you see out in the woods ...

Took the family camping. Didn't realize till bed time that we forgot a few items. Ended up breaking down camp at 3 this morning and heading home. Got too cold for everyone.

Caught the Bug
Did my first ever - camping trip, off-road, Rubicon Run

This past weekend was a milestone of achievements for me. I joined the local 4WD group on their Rubicon Run. It was my first experience at camping - no running water or flush toilets (any kinda toilets to be precise), sleeping out (ok - I have an airtop auto-home), and serious off-road 4 wheeling. The support and camaraderie was amazing, I honestly had no idea what these vehicles (including my own) are capable of, and the no toilet thing - well, I guess I'll just have to get used to that part. I was shown a whole new world. To those of you active in this sport, I know I am preaching to the choir, but - wow, what a great sport. I have been missing out.

Here's a few pictures of the adventure.

To all of those who shared their experience and helped me through the rough spots - thank you.

We had a WJ blow a head gasket and had to recover to the highway for transport. However the GMC truck was too powerful and pulled off the front tow point. He had to use the rear hitch and tow in reverse for 20km across the desert.

Finally got out on a trail since modding. Didn't get too many action shots, but got a couple of my friend's rubi.
