Temps seem to be dropping, so windows are coming off. Also washed again, and cleaned the fenders.


Found some rust on my EVO D ring mounts. I'll pull them off this weekend and put a coat of paint on them!

Spent some time today working on "pinstripe removal" LoL.. It's pointless.

It's bittersweet almost. Bitter because I've always been super OCD with my cars and love to keep the paint looking as best as possible. But, the sheer sweetness of using the Jeep for what it is instead of making it a beauty queen is what is most important. Those pinstripes/Rock rash/etc damage are all scars of honor!

And yes, I'd like to do that this week. If only my Labor Day work schedule wasn't so demanding!

Yeah, I don't think it's worth the trouble. I was going to give these tires away when I mount my new ones but I'm not getting any interest, so they'll probably find new residence in the dumpster

Yeah I've got a brand new set sitting in the garage, just haven't had time to mount them!

I just saw this post. Yeah, it may be the best thing to do. A lot of shop's will charge the 'tire disposal fee' even if you keep your old tires. Might be easier to just let the shop keep the old ones and be done with it.

Yeah I think it's about 10-20 bucks at DT. That's probably what I'll do!

Gonna try and get an alignment tomorrow so I can get tires mounted up Friday or Saturday. Stay tuned!

Found that my day was a little more free than I expected, so it was time to put in some much needed work on Steel.
First was a stop at the alignment shop.

Funny to see, here is a picture of Onyx in the exact same spot. Steel couldn't be more similar!

After getting the alignment fixed up and where it should be, time to head to Discount Tire!

New tires on, and the spare rotated in! They are GREAT!


A much needed test drive!


A big shoutout to Discount Tire for such a great experience once again! The new tires ride incredible and look great.
