I think a few pages back I talked about meeting at Bucees 290/mueschke? IIRC a handful of people we good with it. Tom may meet us further down 290.

We will leave the house around 1215, get to Bucees around 1230-1240. Leave promptly at 1pm. People can catch up if they are late or if nobody can do a 1pm leave time (and want to convoy) I guess we can push the time out but I would rather get moving ASAP.

We were gonna bring our own lunch. Not sure what yet. We have a lot of firewood. Ill bring what can fit.

I can maybe come by your place and we can load up my trail rack with some wood, and roll out to Bucees together? I shouldnt have any problem getting to your house before 12:15 if that works?

Works for me. Her and I both get off at noon, both will be home before 1215. Ill load the jeep the night before so all I have to do is get zero in and we gone!

Alright, 3 days out for roll out. Whats everyones plan? I would like to convoy from Houston if possible. I was thinking we could meet up around noon or slightly after somewhere in katy if we go I10, or in cypress if we are on 290?

Also, we need to make sure we have a few things in order,
Is someone bringing enough firewood for 2 evenings?
Do we want to do a potluck lunch sort of thing? or everyone bring their own thing? Chips? Dips? Coffee? ;)
Dinner Friday and Saturday are accounted for between Tacos and BB Cafe, and I'm sure those of us at the hotel will figure out something for breakfast if necessary/desired.

Let me know what you guys are thinking, I'm down for whatever, I just want to wheel. :thumb:
I plan on bringing enough fire wood for Friday night.

We are going to be able to make it!! We can arrive before close Friday, and will have to leave Saturday. Doesn't look like my sliders will get here but the CB gets here Wednesday

It's going to be me + my man and we've never done this so figured to go with beginner group

Doubt me and the lady will be able to get off work soon enough to make it by 1. So looks like I'll meet you guys there to setup the tent at night.

Kyle, requesting permission to Giggity? :cheesy:

On a side note, we still need a trail lead for the beginner group. The park has maps, so if you and/or your copilot can read a map, and have a basic understanding of offroading/spotting, Please step up if you feel you can.

I don't get off until 3, so I'll meet up a little later. I'll be camping both friday and saturday.

Well, I have been to HF once before (and was only lost for about an hour). So if nobody else volunteers to lead the beginners, I suppose I'll step up. That is, as long you guys don't mind following helen keller down the trails...:D

since I will be heading out after I get off work fri morning only stopping home to finish loading up and making sure I got everything even though I always tend to forget something ..
I will be set up in camp and run back to meet up at Janie's tacos ... tend to grab firewood close to where I'm heading to prevent critter travels to places they normally aren't ( one of those things most never even think about ) ....
as for food since I will be out for a few days beyond the meet and tend more towards simple easy things and ones that will hold up without needing much in way of cooler space (need that for beer) so think cans just gotta heat it and eat it :cheesy: ... bread for sandwiches is np gonna grad a few loaves outta work so will have white and wheat along and gonna pick up some tortilla shells for those who prefer wraps instead ...

having never been and my lack of underarmor I would rather stick where i am in the tail gunner spot , watch lines, video with my virb camera, take pictures with my other camera ... no problems with spotting while I wait my turn if needed , and able to jump in for any recovery help since I got that area well covered ,only lack a damper for my winch line but toss a tshirt over it and its all good ..
