What was done to your rig this week?

I'm thinking my rush to winterize may not have been the best decision.
Since the coating remains fluid, this is what happens after a long trip of pretty much 80 mph the whole way.
I'm going to take some Degreaser and power wash it at the diy car wash, hopefully I can clean off a lot of the areas where I don't want it.

So much for satisfying

Found this hook holder on Amazon I think it looks better than having it hanging on the tow hook lol
Also auxbeam was having some holiday sales so I snagged some lights and a switch panel just waiting on the mounts for everything 😬

Has anyone wired aftermarket halos to the driving lights on non led JL/JT I tried tapping into the park/driving wires at the fender lights and no lights would work when they were plugged in. The auxbeam panel uses the same fuse for power as the halos so I need to figure something out lol

Not sure on the JL/JT tapping into the light harness may throw a code for light out the can network will see a voltage change.

Got my skids reinstalled after a year and a half of sitting in my garage. Pulled them when I had my clutch done and just hadn't gotten them back on. No wheeling in the coffee cart so I figured it wasn't a big deal. While i was under there I also did some investigating in regards to the oil leak I developed. The oil pan was coated in oil and it would drip several drops a day. I thought it was the oil cooler but no oil in the valley and it didn’t look like it was running down from up top. I was thinking it may be the oil pan gasket since it seemed to originate from the edges of the pan. Before tearing into that I decided to check the pan bolts (installed Evo pro tec oil pan skid years ago). Some felt like they were just finger tight so I snugged them up. Hopefully that's all it was. Also installed some new fender clips.

Not this week, but this month.

WheelsFeels DYI storage system & sleeping platform. Came flat packed and assembled & installed in an hour. For $350, it saved a lot of engineering and carpentry. I think if I were to do it, the plywood and slide would have been $200 or so. It does lay flat, so I dont kill my back again sleeping in the jeep and the panels can go in the drawers or behind the seat. The storage bin is still accessible I have carpeting I want to install.

American Adventure Lab shelf. This went on sale for black friday and seemed a better deal than the Hooke on Amazon. 2 bolts on existing fittings on the roll cage. Came in raw aluminum, but painted it black. Plenty of space for my feet and matress between the drawer and shelf. It looks like the panel would block the mirror, but it's not higher than the spare.

So far, not too much rattling or clanking. Curious to see how they do offroad, but they would be loaded with gear to dampen the noise.

Auxbeam light bar wired to the Aux switches. I can also easily unplug the harness for road trips for those cops who want to issue tickets for high lights. A plyss with the sky one touch is I can adjust the aim from the driver's seat, but the wind buffering is much worse.

And finally a midland 575 gmrs radio. Mounted to the Amazon storage special and remote speaker. Antenna mounted on the driver's side cowl.

I am likely done with the Jeep, unless something breaks. I do have the LOD swing gate basket coming for fuel can storage.
