Hmmmm. I just took another look at my bumper, it definitely sticks out about 4 inches more than the picture you posted.

The picture you posted, is that a mid width? I just checked on their website and its shows a red Jeep with the same amount of stick out that mine has. Perhaps the picture you posted is an earlier version of this same bumper?

Anviljk and HeadshrinkerMD both run a CC one without the hoop and the the edges are inside the grill. Not sure of the exact model.

Edit: Anviljk does have a hoop on his.

My vote is the Destroyer front without the lower skid. Cut off your crash bar, rotate your swaybar motor and you have a little more clearance up front.

The new LoD bumper allows the tire to swing away from tailgate. Awesome except that my license plate is relocated to the spare tire. The JKS kit used to do so recommends just using more wire if tire carrier can swing away from gate. I didn't find that solution acceptable though, so when I first put it all together a few weeks ago, I put in some disconnects like this:

The problem is that these are pretty difficult to get apart and I wanted something that looked better. If you forget to undo them, then you can see the wire would stretch out like this:

So I came up with a new plan: reuse old parts, notably the harness off a side marker light I cut off with my fenders.

Step 1: find your useless side marker lights and female harness cut from Jeep

Step 2: remove the bulb and fitting from the back
IMG_20170321_104814.jpg

Step 3: pop put the bulb
IMG_20170321_105118.jpg
Use a knife to push the little tabs in and remove bulb

Step 4: discard bulb, keep metal contacts
IMG_20170321_105208.jpg

At this point, if you were to put the metal contacts back in, you'd have a nice male/female pair like this
IMG_20170321_105916.jpg

Step 5: spray paint female end
IMG_20170321_121221.jpg
IMG_20170321_122230.jpg
That grey is just nasty and red will remind me to disconnect before opening

Step 6: solder wire to metal contacts
IMG_20170321_152751.jpg

IMG_20170321_153914.jpg

Step 7: insert contacts back into male housing
IMG_20170321_154216.jpg

Step 8: solder female harness wires onto license plate light wires
IMG_20170321_160207.jpg

Step 9: wrap in protective tube
IMG_20170321_162329.jpg

That's it! Now I have an easily disconnected connection between tailgate and license plate light on spare tire that looks good.

Posts like these are really good and you really should be posting them up as new threads so that people who aren't following your build can find them.
