AOAA Guided tour March29th

Placed my order. I am ready, the Jeep on the other hand still needs the lift and tires installed. I am planning on doing that this weekend.

OOO your going!! YAY!!!!! :) And Your getting lifts! :) Awesome man!! Can't WAIT to see what it looks like!!!

That's awesome!! What did you go with?

AEV 2.5" lift Pro Comp wheels 31 with Fierce Attitude MT 35x12.50x17

The lift was supposed to be delivered today, not here yet. Hopefully tomorrow, the tires will be here next Friday ready to install on the Jeep. So I should be good to go. Also plan to install the on board air before the trip. Some work to do but I will be ready and so will the Jeep. Since this is all new to me it may take me everyday to get it ready but we will be.

Your gonna love the added ride height and beefy tires. Nice job.

Thanks, I am excited about the end product, its the installation part that I am not excited about. I am no mechanic and only know how to change the oil and can manage a tire change. I want to install myself though so I can learn the parts incase something happens on the trail I will know what folks are talking about.

It's not as bad as you think. Just take your time and stay organized. It all makes sense once you start doing it. And you'll feel great when it's done.

That's another reason is the satisfaction knowing I did it myself. It might take me awhile but I will get it done. I am going to the Quantico Hobby shop so hopefully the guys there can provide assistance when and if needed, more of the when than if.

Hey I've done some work at Quantico. I build helicopters and got to work in the new hangar on base.
We're staying at the comfort inn nearer to Rausch. The info is in the op.

I know those hangers, the new HMX hangers is what you are talking about right? I was stationed at Quantico for a long time.

Nice. I'm a contractor at the Navy Yard in DC. I miss working with the Marines, it was easier since I knew the language. I never realized how different the Navy and Marines were until I retired and starting working for the Navy.

Are you retired reserves? :) :)

Alright everything is ordered and on its way, reservation made at comfort inn.

I am ready for this trip.

Great.
Just pulled the trigger on some parts today from north ridge. Lod shorty front bumper and a set of truck lites.

damn you guysss making me want to PTO and drive down lol!

Come on down, you can see the results of your recommendations and what I have done to my Jeep. I still have a few things to go, but I can't do them all at once. Although it is hard once you start ordering stuff, its hard not to keep going, every time I order something I see something and want it. Pretty soon I will be sleeping in my Jeep.
