The harnesses and my harness bar showed up yesterday. PRP sent me a set of harnesses that the shoulder belts were sewn into the lap belt which I didnt want and a set that was all separate. I sent the one set back this morning and they already got the other set headed my way. I hope to test fit the bar today and most likely ill leave it in until after the End of the Summer run and have it powder coated when I get back.

Alright well I have fallen behind on the build thread so here is a update to the present and what is about to go on. First off I ended up putting the drive side harness in before the trip to Uwharrie. I ended up spray painting the harness bar black and I think im just going to leave it that way for the time being. After we got back from Uwharrie shortly after PRP had my other set of harnesses sitting at the door. I have yet to put them in the jeep but that is on the soon to do list.

As a good bit know I came away from Uwharrie with a bent tie rod and I ended up ordering a ruff stuff tie rod to put on the Jeep and it should be here anytime.

Well Ive been talking about bigger axles for awhile now and well it has come time for the Dana44s to go and new axles to come in. All though I love ProRocks I just cant swing that kind of money on axles so here we are to the next best thing. I have a set of axles on the way (supposed to be here next week) that are coming out of a 2005 to current f250 or f350srw. The front axle is a Dana 60 and the rear is a Sterling 10.5. For those that don't know the Sterling 10.5 has a 10.5inch rear gear so it is the same size as a Dana70.

So far here is the plans for these axles.

Raceline RT-81 Steel Beadlocks (17x9.5 8x170 bolt pattern) - http://www.filthymotorsports.com/Allied_Beadlocks_p/awc-steelbl.htm

On top of this I am going to have to at least get brake rotors, calipers and driveshafts. Im sure im going to run into more things that im going to need but this is at least a start. I plan to leave the abs and traction control out when I do this just because its something I do not need. Ive heard that the speedo runs of the Transmission and im not really sure so if you can say that is correct or not that would be great.

Earlier I ordered the first part of the parts from Artec so I can go ahead and get this show on the road. As for the 3link mount that could change to just a simple 3link mount. Some think that its meant for a Dana44 and there isnt enough room on top of a sterling10.5 for it but according to Artec it will fit so we will see what happens.

Looks good bud! I plan on doing the same thing to mine, minus the 4 link. Can't wait to see the build pics for the swap

As I said earlier, The sterling 10.5 is already a HUGE axle and throwing on a truss will make it insane. To clear the pumkin with a truss I would expect you to at minimum have to clearence your rear storage space. Im sure you can weld the mount on top of the already huge truss but making it fit under the body is where the real challenge will be.

Hey well we will see. According to Artec I may run into problems with the pumkin getting into the gas tanks so we will see what happens. Worst case nothing a sledge hammer wont fix :thumb::rock:.

You better document the hell out of it, I'll probably use yours as a template for my swap lol

Hopefully this wont be a all year project. I hope to have it finished in a few months.

Yea...what r u doing with those lol

Well everything is gonna be sold. The wheels may stay in the family though because my dad talked about putting them on his TJ. I believe my brother may keep the front driveshaft as a spare since its the same size. What yall think is a fair price for the rubi axles? Assuming these arent completely bent out of shape lol.

Idk, but unless Ty wants them, i call dibs. Especially on the front. Possibly both.

Ill definitely give you first crack at them if you want them. Im gonna wait till everything is out from under the jeep before I start putting things up for sale. Just know my axles are set up for 3 link front and rear.

LOL! I was mainly interested in the wheels. Since those are already claimed, I'll say that if you end up parting out the axles, I'm interested in the lockers. :thumb:

Heres just some more info on the mount situation. Honestly my axles are probably better suited for the person looking to put them in a TJ YJ and so on. On the front there is still the stock upper mount on the driver side but the passenger side has been cut off. The rear has no factory upper mounts it has the Rock Krawler truss with the 3link mount on top. All lowers are still factory.

They aren't necessarily already claimed we will see. Like I said im not gonna worry about that stuff until its out since I still need them for a month or so.
