Weekend Camping

Went camping this weekend near Nederland, CO. First time out with our 18 month old son, so sleeping was a little rough the first night, much better the second.

Not a bad view from the Eno:

Only filter I ever really use on here is my sunglasses. Just held up my phone behind them:

Looking down on our campsite from little knoll opposite the valley. We're the small fire in the middle:

Great view from the campfire:

Little bit of Jeep. Little bit of mountains.

Cinnamon rolls from a can, squished inside a cored-out orange, cooked over an open fire. So good:

The next few are on the hike up to Lost Lake. Some amazing waterfalls.

Old abandoned building; probably from a miner:

Lost Lake itself:

Sunset over the Rubicon...so to speak:

Playing on a little berm:

And got to meet a Wayalife friend! Bonus points if you can name the member (the 1999 WJ should be easy)

Changes the look completely. Great mod for your rig!

Hey man, the spacers make a huge difference. Gotta ask through, did you remove the star retainer clips from the rotor stud? I only ask because of the picture with it still on.

Please ignore this I quoted the wrong thing and read further that you had removed them... Duhhh

Thanks! Yes, took them off. JK_Dave asked the same thing. Not to worry! I appreciate you calling it out though; definitely not above doing something stupid like that :)

I went to high school here and then moved to AZ for about 7 years. When I moved back here, the mountains stunned me. I realized that my whole time as a kid, I had taken them for granted. Now with kids of my own, I try to get them involved in outdoors as much as I can. It was good to see GraniteCrystal doing the same. It's beautiful out here.

I was 28 before I made a trip to the mountains and I've been every year since. I love them. My 70 year old dad taught me to ski (in the Midwest) when I was a little kid and I was lucky enough to have him tag along for my ski trip last December. He was floored by the grandeur.

Pics are incredible. Rig looks good too. Love the kiddo taking notes during the spacer install. He'll be driving it in no time!

Just read through your build. The CB and Gobi noise fix are both awesome. I'll have to keep those in mind. Great looking Jeep!
