I'm gonna do the gears myself just might be a few weeks after I get the tires. I sold my press when I moved so I gotta figure that part out.

How are the 37s with the 4.10s? Is it doable for a short time? I'm headed in that direction. I bet the ride got even "plusher" with the tire hanging back there.

Not bad, little sluggish. Have to decide what I'm going to do. Get gears done or new axles with hard already.

As much as I like doing things myself, I'm probably going to have Northridge do mine if I get them done. The pinion crush sleeve is something I don't want to mess with.

Well, trimmed some metal in the rear. Went back out to my poor man's rti ramp. Back looks good. Front needs some trimming. I have no idea how guys say they run 2" bump stops with 37" tires. My tire is right up on the fender brace and really close with 3" bump stops.
And even with the boot torn off the drive shaft, it still his the weights. Going to have to move the evap skid no matter what. So, everything looks better now. Just need to trim the front fender area and fix the skid. And still finding packing peanuts. Really happy with the amount of flex and stuff out of this set up.

Looks good! I sent you a pm about your gears. We can knock that out in the Colorado store for you.

So to try and save the rear drive shaft, I moved the evap skid over 1". It should be enough. Even with the boot ripped off, it was still hitting the skid. 1413911141966.jpg
So I put a hole with a step bit in the middle of the existing two holes and measured 2" over and put another hole. 1413911224450.jpg
The rear 1" over also 1413911265414.jpg
Here is before 1413911291685.jpg
And after 1413911311841.jpg
I was thinking of using the far hole and starting from there, but I didn't want to get too close to the exhaust. This should make enough clearance. So if your planning on running your factory rear shaft, this might help save your shaft. Lesson learned.

As much as I like the factory skids, I'm thinking if getting the poison spider one if it's smaller and more clearance. But this should fix my issue

Jeeps looking sick Marlo! i agree you should leave the rings unpainted :yup: i think where you have the evap skid now will deff help and once you get a new DS that will just give you more clearance

Yeah, I think the $100 bucks would be better spent towards a new shaft rather than a skid right now.
Definitely going to leave the rings raw. not sure what I'm going to do with 2 cans of plasti dip now.

I thought about that, but I would have to undo the winch to get the grill off. I'm not sure I can get it off with the power plant. It's a close fit

Picture of how close it is with the winch. The bottom might be a hassle

Got my 3rd light working. Didn't drill into the carrier and run it through like I wanted. I would have to take the tire off. Pulled a Jesse and said forget that. Next tire rotation when I have it off I'll redo it. Lights work and can't really see the wires unless you get up close.
Just noticed this license plate frame sucks.
