Watcha cookin'?

I just followed a recipe I found on the internet but basically it's pinapple juice, chili powder, garlic, canned chipotle peppers, cumin, salt and pepper.

A lot of the Mexican meat markets use sunny d as a liquid for meat marinades. That's the next one I'm gonna try!

Any acid will work to tenderize the meat. I like using fresh oranges because there isn't as much sugar as there is in sunny d.

Hit the spot after a quick mountain bike ride this morning.

JAGS

Hooked
Trying again with some mesquite BBQ marinated tri tip and a whole grain veg medley. "Mostly" cut against the grain??? Lol. Or not??? Either way, it tasted good with a glass of clayhouse adobe red.

First time smoking meat today. Pretty pleased with myself, it turned out great. Whole chicken breasts using cherry wood.

I had 2 helpings of that pork, it was incredible. Almost went up for a third since there was some left lmao but I wanted to try the chicken, which was also stellar.

Pro tip...when on the road try to pick a hotel with a kitchenette. Travel is no excuse to eat like crap.
