Couldn't help ourselves and took another side trip to do some exploring.

Stopped to check out the old ghost town of Blair.

The pics are amazing Eddie ol Renny doing pretty good especially 32 mpg

To be fair, that was just us doing a test at a cruise control set 60 MPH. Still, that we were able to get as much as 32 MPG on flat ground was still very impressive. Going 55, we were almost seeing 34 MPG. Of course, I got bored and started doing closer to 80 and started passing trucks and that brought our average back to about 24 MPG.

That's a nice little trip for Renny. Hope the AC works well, hot as hell out here. So where at in Texas yall going if you don't mind me asking sir?

LOL!! It does work well and we're grateful for it being that the temps down in Vegas were well into the triple digits :icon_crazy:
Our son lives in San Angelo and we're coming out to help him move. :yup:

Sweet! 60-65mph is what I drive everyday and that is almost identical to what I get in my car. I cannot wait to get one. :yup:

Love the awesome old iron you can find out in the desert. Check out this tired but nice J20 Jeep truck...

But this is the one we really want - a beautiful and all original Cherokee Chief.

My older brother lives just outside of San Angelo. He likes it out there. I work down southwest of San Antonio in the Oil and Gas. It has been so hot and humid the past 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to days off so I can get back to the weather of the Cali coast.
Safe travels!

Btw the cherokee chief has a for sale sign on it. Just pick it up and add it to the jeep herd you have back at the stable!
