Tax time…what are you buying?

Family law attorneys are the worst too. The only take their clients best interest into consideration and they can get way out of control. Haven't retained on in the last 5 years but looks like I'm going to have to now. End rant. Sorry for that.

Omg I thought my divorce took a long time. I never had an attorney cause I figured I would end up with nothing anyway and didn’t want nothing and a huge lawyer bill too

Sad thing is divorce was finalized in 2015. She has since remarried. It's fun dealing with a narcissist.

Edit: Not trying to derail the thread my apologies. This topic could be 1000 page thread all on its own...haha.

Not getting a refund....

I think I am buying a bunch of welfare benefits and opioids for folks who don’t need them.

But hope I’m buying bombs heading ISIS’ way.

I'll be buying my way out of going to jail... AGAIN.

I'ed rather that then loan the government my money interest free. Especially when they don't return the favor... :naw:

Truth! A lot of people don't realize that's what they've done when they get a big refund check. I prefer it when I break even (or at least close to it). It rarely ever works out though :grayno:

I’m going re-invest in liquid equities, diversify my portfolio, restructure dividend assets and re-evaluate investment grade bonds for long term, high yielding returns.

..... or just buy some Jeep shit.

$33 this year. I say I did a good job at not loaning my money to the government.

We haven't figured out yet if we should file jointly or separately, this being our first time filing as a married couple. I need to spend some time and figure out how to owe the least. ha

Yeah I've been told this for years and that I need to adjust my withholding because my return is too high. The problem with this is most people (myself included) are not diligent enough to take the money they'd receive during the year and invest it, put it into a savings account or prepare to pay the tax man a large amount.

100% jointly. Has been working out well enough for us.

You owe the least by not telling the government anything EVER!!
