You owe the least by not telling the government anything EVER!!
NOW you are talking my language... :brows:

I’m going re-invest in liquid equities, diversify my portfolio, restructure dividend assets and re-evaluate investment grade bonds for long term, high yielding returns.
..... or just buy some Jeep shit.
Where you headed? I used a portion of mine last year to cover the honey moon expense.
Yea well Americans are pussies now.NOW you are talking my language... :brows:

My tax return would totally be enough to buy 37s.... if only my wife would actually let me spend it on that haha

Nice thread bump!
Once again, I'll likely owe taxes. If I somehow screwed up and actually get a return, I'll just toss it in the taxable account at Vanguard.
I'll be buying my way out of going to jail... AGAIN.
I'ed rather that then loan the government my money interest free. Especially when they don't return the favor... :naw:

I don't know about anyone else, but I am looking forward to next year's return. Best estimate so far is that I'll be "saving" about $13,000 in taxes. http://taxplancalculator.com
We haven't figured out yet if we should file jointly or separately, this being our first time filing as a married couple. I need to spend some time and figure out how to owe the least. ha

A friend of mine mentioned Vanguard. I need to look into it more. My 403b isn't doing squat.
Vanguard is great due to their low expense ratios (i.e. fees) on a variety of funds. There are many options (and opinions) out there, but if you are in the accumulation phase I do not think it can be beat especially for an index fund investor.
That’s about what I’ll be saving.
Nice! :thumb:
Jointly, you’ll have a $24,000 standard deduction, this year.
Their Total Stock Market Index fund is hard to beat.
In 2018, correct? Pretty sure the MFJ standard deduction for 2017 is $12,700.
Indeed. I buy a lot of VTSAX. :yup:
Haha well my wife and I both have good jobs and no kids so we sock money away in 2 individual savings accounts that we can use at our leisure on what ever we want no questions asked. And that just so happens to be my jeep fund. Took me a while to save up for it but she couldn't tell me no haha.
