Coffee Drinkers & Bean Grinders

Coffee Drinkers & Bean Grinders

View attachment 294979 I met all those guys down in Texas. As I retired out of the service both Marines and Army. Had a big party with all of those guys. Mat Best and Art 15 clothing. Anyway, Jeff Kirkham is one of the owners and Vet.

Believe what you want. I will believe what I want. To each their own. I’m not a fan of them and the crap they pull.

Just because something is posted on the internet doesn’t mean it’s true.

I decided to no longer buy coffee at the store and buy on amazon from now on to try new kinds. This came in today. I have had the Starbucks, that’s not a new kind. Just ordered some.

I've wanted to give kicking horse a try. I've heard good things.
The owner was not military. He was a private contractor.

You are correct, Evan and Matt were contractors but were enlisted prior to that. I can't find anything saying otherwise. I've been digging. If you've got something saying otherwise shoot me the link.

^^ That's all I was able to find regarding the vet issue with BRCC as well. Granted my googlefu skills aren't top notch but I satisfied my curiosity enough.

Kicking Horse is really good. 454 HP was my go to until I found BRCC a while ago. Grizzly Claw is good too. Course those guys are Canadian and they managed to fuck up bacon so they do have that against them....

On our last outing we happened across this small coffee roster. So we picked up a pound to try out.
I have to say I'm really enjoying the smooth almost caramel flavoring it has. IMG_1927.jpg also his one of a kind unique roasting process is really interesting.

Allegro organic brand is great. Get it at whole foods. I only do organic coffee now. Messed up and grabbed a ground bag though. Normally I grind it up myself at the store cause I use a French press. I'll just have to drink it quicker and go get more.20180327_093438.jpg

What fuckery is this?!?

FACT CHECK: Calif. Judge Rules Coffee Must Come With A Cancer Warning, But Should It?

https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo...-must-come-with-a-cancer-warning-but-should-i

This is just more kalifornia fuckery! Starbucks didn’t put enough effort into this to defeat the previous rulings, so this judge just ruled that due to lack of evidence to the contrary, this must be true, so he had to protect the public from the evil coffee. Previous testing on rats was at a level of over 10,000 times the intake of humans. Just stupid kalifuckery!

This is part of why I largely quit paying attention to the AMA. Every 5 years, they seem to change their mind as to whether sodium is bad for you. When younger, it was as bad an evil as smoking. Then a study said, basically, No, it’s fine, not a concern. Today, or last I heard from them, coffee was basically good for you. Judge must not‘ even gotten the current memo.

The one that finally got me, was when they came out and said strawberry preserves caused cancer in lab rats. A friend of mine was involved in college. Went in to help administer the tests a couple times, so I had a casual awareness of how this can be done. When AMA said this, I immediately thought, “Sure, if you keep getting strawberry preserve injected in -your- ass ever day for a year, you too will probably develop a bump.”

It's mentioned in that article that Seven-Eleven settled already for $900,000. Settled with whom? The state? Shit like this is why I pay only peripheral attention to any news sources anymore. I go about my business, do my own research when I want to know about something and briefly scan the headlines every couple days to see who the fuck is bombing/killing/stabbing/protesting who and then move on. :grayno:

I’m with you on that! Unfortunately, devos like CERT, can and will take away things from you for the greater good. They support a $2500 fine for EVERY exposure to EVERYONE since 2002! All of the coffee sellers and distributors have a limited time to appeal and prove coffee does not pose a risk to humans. The fuckery is the flawed data upon which the original suit by CERT was filed to create this “ruling” in the first place.
IDK, does the second amendment mention coffee needed to maintain the militia?
