I just had my stock unit fixed. A new unit is around $1000 to $1500. What do you not like about it

Just not a fan of it. I would prefer a android auto unit and just part ways with this unit. Although, I will say the off road trail navigation is pretty good but so is GAIA on a tablet.

Depends on how much coin you wanna drop but the Alpine Restyle head unit is badass. There are a couple other similar offerings on amazon too that gave good reviews. I forget the names of them though

+1 for the Alpine Restyle. I love mine. I’ll love it even more once CarPlay supports GAIA.

I never heard of the restyle. I'll jump over to Alpines website and check it out. I'm guessing it's a $2000 unit though?

$3000 for the X209. I think there is a cheaper one that is mechless but doesn’t have built in Nav...it relies on Apple Maps (CarPlay) or Google Maps (Android Auto) which is fine until you don’t have cell service.

I never really use the nav for what its intended for with the stock head unit. I usually just download offline google maps and a few different overlays with Gaia on phone and tablet and has been great so far. I will look for the other one you mention.

Question about DTD. I read that some people have done the DTD without the bypass shocks, but what do they do for bump stops? I want to convert to coil overs soon and would prefer not to buy upper front brackets twice (pro bolt on's then DTD weld on's) if the end goal is the DTD. Is there a way to do this in stages and add the bypass shocks later and run it with just coil overs or does Evo sell everything in a package.

You won’t have a bump in the front with just the coilovers. The rear you can get the ones that are frenched into the frame. People have done it but really, it’s not that much more for bypasses.

You can’t swap the coilovers over from bolt ons to dtd. Not sure if you know, hard to tell by your post but the two systems are totally different. Pick one or the other.

Thanks Overlander for pointing that out for me. I did not know the coilovers from enforcer pro to DTD were different. Are they different lengths and size? Also, can you run the DTD with Evo short arms?

Different parts. The rear is an 8” coilover to begin with.

Yes you can run with short arms. If you use your jeep you will probably destroy bushings pretty fast.
