The Adventures and Build of Remi the JL Rubicon!

Sounds great! Bit confused though given the general consensus that 37’s on stock 44’s is a ticking time bomb?

Like Jerry said below, the JL axles are handling 37s great. Lots of people have been able to run them for years without any issues.

That’s an awesome order you put in. Congrats.

Thanks man. It all started with Rockhard4x4’s generosity. Then giving me those rock sliders started it all!

The JLs seem to be holding up well with 37s

[emoji1303] I couldn’t be the smallest at our house 🤣 now we will all be on 37s!

Have they made the axle tubes thicker on the JL’s? If so, good to know.

So this info could be wrong, but here’s what I found

The axle tube diameter went from 2.5" to 2.75" and the brackets are upgraded from .120" up to .200".

Maybe that’s right.. maybe not!

Yes sir!! Can’t wait!

Good to see stuff rolling in, looking fwd to seeing these install. Going to look great

Parts wall in my garage is filling up!

I’m excited for all these parts.. but this one I am REALLY excited for. My first time ever getting a winch with synthetic rope!

Still waiting for:

37’s & Bead Locks (these are delayed due to mounting and balancing)
Rancho Sport lift
Rockhard4x4 FAD skid
Synergy Chromoly HD tie rod

Then the installs will begin!

Rubicon wheels & tires(with TPMS) will be for sale soon!

How exciting!! :thumb:

The Rancho 2” Sport Lift is in!

Remi is filled up with parts ready for install this weekend. Rockhard4x4’s packaging was so beefy, it wouldn’t fit in the Jeep. I had to remove the sliders before loading them up! 🤣

Bumper, sway bar disconnect skid plate, winch hoop, Warn EVO winch, and rock sliders will be installed this weekend!

Still waiting on the Synergy Chromoly HD Tie Rod, Rockhard4x4 FAD Skid, Synergy Steering Stabilizer relocation bracket, and of course, the 37” Nittos and beadlocks!

First impressions:
EXTREMELY impressed with RockHard4x4’s quality, craftsmanship, and just how darn sturdy these things are. They are incredibly solid! Every piece of hardware included with them is top quality, and engineering perfectly. The under bumper sway bar motor skid plate is possibly the heaviest piece of metal I’ve ever lifted. That sucker is ready to get hit.

WARN VR: I’m super impressed with this winch. Quality is incredible, lifetime warranty, and wireless remote. I can’t wait to get this thing out and test it out. For $749, this is a great winch in my opinion.

Rock sliders: BEEFY AS HELL. Like the other Rockhard4x4 parts, these are beefy and strong. They use three mounting points(body mounts, tub bolts, pinch seam bolts) They feel sturdy as a step and feel as though they could take a good hit from a rock. I feel very grateful as the contest winner, because I have discovered my new favorite Jeep armor. Thanks Rockhard4x4!

Install wasn’t too bad. The only thing I have to say again is F$*k JLU body mount bolts. They are an extreme pain in the ass. Everything else went on without an issue!
