Gotcha, that's kinda what I figured
Adhesive backing on this one. There are some that you spray adhesive then lay it on but that sounds like a pain right in the dick hole. I have this on the silver Jeep and it definitely makes a difference. Even though this jeep and the silver Jeep are loud as is. Thinking I’ll put it on Tina’s jeep too.

Yea, spray adhesive route sounds horrible. Thinking i may do this to the JL. Alex wants it quieter inside
Ran out of mat but got most of it done. I’ll order another box to do the fenders but going to leave the rear bare until I cut it open for the coilovers.

From what I’ve read online about sound deadening vehicles people say most of the noise comes from the fender wells. Not sure I totally but that. Amazon has this for $99 for 72sq ft. Or $58 for 36sq ft. I bought the 36 and this is how much I got. A four door will probably need the 72 and maybe a little extra.

Thanks for the tip on how much to get. I don't totally believe that either. Thinking about trying something for the top too, but idk.

Looks like a PIA, but I’ll bet it makes a big difference.

Yes, I think i used around 85 sq ft on the four door. I've read that it is not necessary to cover everything, but i did the same as you. I figured the extra mass can only help with NVH. Even doubled up in some spots with the extra scraps.

I’ve always wanted to do this. But my heep leaks too much and I don’t want water or moisture to get trapped. [emoji17]

If you’re worried about it getting trapped between the floor and this, it won’t. This stuff sticks super well. And it’ll probably melt a little more in the heat. The drain plugs are still accessible as well.
