Given up on Superchips

I have come to the conclusion that Superchips will not have a usable programmer for a 2012+ JK. :crazyeyes: I was holding out as I have a flashpaq, that worked great on my '07, but won't even let me adjust for larger tires on my '12. I am presuming that an AEV Procal is the way to go?

If you're just needing to calibrate your speedo or do basic changes, an AEV ProCal will do the job well. Another option is the Superchips Flashcal as it will do the same thing and in the same way as your Flashpaq. The later costs a bit more but, you do get a screen to work off of and, IF Superchips ever comes out with a 2012 Flashpaq, you will not need to get a new unit - what you'll have is upgradeable.

I already have a flashpaq and was hoping I could do the basic tire/tpms stuff, but it will not let me. I don't understand why Superchips will not allow the flashpaq to do the same thing as the flashcal, without me having to spend more money. :naw:

Hmmm, I wonder if you could get your Flashpaq updated with Flashcal programming. Might be worth a call

Was the ProCal out before the 2011s. There is something with the Jeep that makes the Paq not work, it's not SuperChips. So I'm curious if there even was a ProCal before....and if there was, are the issues the same. I think in either case, you'd have to by a new programmer/tuner for 2011s+.

Like Eddie said, maybe check with SuperChips. Also as he stated, if buying new, at least with the FlashCal you can upgrade to a tuner. ProCal will ever only be a ProCal and I think they are both $159 retail.

I have the flashcal it works great accept the shift points for the auto tranny when putting in ur gear ratio seem to be off my 2013 wud not shift to 3rd on the highway at all was doing 65 @ 4500 rpms so i reset to stock and just stick with tpms sensors off and tire size change

This is not good. I would call them up. Or make sure your gears and tire height are set properly. Or both.

I'm also waiting for superchip but I'm wondering if anyone went with diablosport? Of course I would prefer staying with superchip, but what about them ? Their tuner works on 2011+

I sent them an email for now just running stock setting plus tire change its fine for now but their 4.10 gear tune is terrible

I use my flashpaq to set my tpms just fine...

Flashcal worked fine for tire size and tpms and all the other little things just gear ratio tune is awful somethung isn't right maybe they have to update it again

OK, that didn't work. I contacted Superchips and the Flashpaq can not be used in place of the Flashcal. The programming can not be corrected for the Flashpaq to work. So, I ordered a Flashcal today. I guess I'll have a Flashpaq for sale soon. :rolleyes2:

I still have a Diablosport Trinity, and it works fine -- except the time it scrambled the PCM cal id. The end result was a long and severe pleasure with their tech support plus a bill for a new PCM from a dealer. As an aside, only dealers have the equipment to initialize/program a new PCM, and even there stuff couldn't re-flash the old one.

Anytime a PCM is flashed, no matter which tuner brand, there's a risk of failure. I'm not the first, and won't be the last.

And after playing with tuners for over a year, the latest OEM tune actually ran the best, with virtually no audible spark knock. My advice is to go to the dealer and get the latest OEM tune, and leave it at that.

I also have the AEV procal. It has worked well, and believe the latest version works with all JK's.
