12' Gecko Build

I would consider doing the master cylinder bench bleed
Not saying it can't be done but I'd have to peel back quite a few other things with rhe motor swap to get to it.

Is there a better way to get air out out of the master without removing it?
Just burn through a bunch of fluid and open the front left caliper and pump away?

not that I know of, that master can hold a surprising amount of air

Worth a try to have a buddy build pressure on the pedal and I crack the lines on the master? I can get to the lines on the master from the bottom. Id have to remove all the GM computers to get to the master from the top

thought about it that as well but it would suck air back in.

Thinking it thru, you may be back to your idea using a friend to pump the brakes, using a larger bottle (maybe 2 liter) with brake fluid in it so the hose attached to the bleed valve stays submerged, you keeping the reservoir full and your friend pumping the brake until the air bubbles are out, abs bleed, repeat, then do the other side.

can you put lines on the master to do a bench like bleed?

don't forget brake fluid eats thru a lot of stuff, wear nitro gloves

So I tried just opening the front left and pumping the pedal, burned though a bottle of fluid to see no bubbles and no change in the pedal.

Went down to autozone and bought a bench bleeder and hooked it up just on the vehicle using the pedal to cycle the piston and it definitely had air moving. Its bubble free now using the bench bleeder. Gonna hook the lines back up and re bleed the rest of the system and ABS and hope for the best
