Sorry I am not as familiar with coilovers this is why I have asked you guys as you all explain things In great detail.

Is the evo lever a bolt on part or is it weld on seeing it costs only a few hundred more is mAY aswell save for the extra and go for it providing its bolt on

It definitely is designed to be bolted on but honestly, I would just have it welded on.

I should also note that there really is NOTHING out there that comes even close to the performance that the EVO lever provides.

Ok, my last question.( I think it's all sinking in,lol).. looking at Evo's website, I see what looks to be a standard front bolt on kit and a 'Long travel' kit. What is the difference between the two ( dont say it Overlander ) as the overall price was basically the same for both and are they both compatable with the standard rear kit? Think I just about have it narrowed down, too many choices for me to process:eek:

We Are Jeep..Resistance Is Futile..

I literally just asked Drew the same question. This is what he told me.
" The weld in system allows for the KING 3 Tube Bypass and offers a bit more travel". I'm assuming he's talking about the long travel kit. I don't belive the long travel is bolt on, but I might be wrong.

Okay.... WOW!!! Sorry for the late response to this. Let me try to clear some of this up

EVO MFG currently has TWO (2) Coil-Over systems -

FRONT / REAR LCG Bolt-On Coil-Over (which is just that - BOLT-ON) - sold separately

&

FRONT / REAR DTD (Double Throw Down) - sold separately

So the main difference (other than ONE being BOLT-ON and ONE being WELD-ON) - The LCG Bolt-On Coil-Over system is designed to replace your shock and coil with a CUSTOM Built CUSTOM Valved KING Coil-Over using a simple bolt-on application (does require some cutting / grinding). The DTD (front / rear) is a WELD-ON system can be run with a stand-alone coil-over OR coil-over & bypass (once again - front and rear). Now we have a number of customers running the DTD in the front and LCG Bolt-On in the rear as well as customers running the front DTD with stand-alone coil-over and LCG bolt-on in the rear with the plan of upgrading to the 3 tube bypass.

The LONG Travel Coil-Over kit is the old SINGLE coil-over kit that we are actually no longer offering and I am thinking that is where there is some confusion (since it is still on the website)...

note - The LCG Bolt-On Coil-Over kit is NOT sold without the Coil-Overs and sold ONLY as a complete kit.

Not really, run the double tower with just a coilover. Then it's just bolting in the bypass when your ready.

^^^^ This right here. I just wished I had that option back when we first got our coil overs on Moby. We ended up having to start all over again when we decided to go DTD.

Rebel Off Road knows Evo has a bolt in kit because they were looking at mine when I picked up my bumper from them almost a year ago.

:cheesy: It still cracks me up that they would tell you that the coils on your coils overs were installed backwards.

I am not sure I understand the question... are you asking about the getting the FRONT bolt-on and REAR EVOLever?

Okay, that is better.

I was under the impression that the DTD only came with the full bypass.

c

Well, a DTD does include bypass shocks but, you can get the brackets without them and then add them later. We plan on getting the DTD brackets installed on our 2012 JK and just run it with single shocks until we can afford to get bypasses.
