What was done to your rig this week?

I copied JeepFan and made a fridge platform.

Another big thank you to this great forum! I finally buttoned up my CB install. I used several ideas that I picked up here and in the end I am very happy with the result.

Close up of the mount idea I picked up here from the forum:

I applied some industrial Velcro to the top rear of the CB and to the plastic above the windshield.
It didn't want to stick so I put several rivets into the stiff side of the Velcro attached to the plastic panel.
Nice and solid now. No movement at all.

I settled on this location and mount for my Firestik II. Grabbed a quick disconnect and a tune from my local CB shop.

I had to trim a little metal behind the mount with my dremel tool to make it work but it wasn't hard.

Ran the coax through this plug behind the tail light and up through the roll bar padding to the windshield.

Again, thanks to Eddie's tech article and tips/ideas from several others here on the forum. 

How did you mount the CB to the metal bracket? I like that look and way of doing it. Was wondering what parts are needed and how it was done so clean looking.

Oil change
Tire rotation
Torque beadlock rings
Torque suspension components
Inspect u-joints
Touch up chipped rock skin paint
And last but not least, swapped out the winter air for spring air (tires)

I fondle Smokey's stinger as I squeeze by on my way to the washer/dryer in the garage. And no, there are no photos. 😊

Where did you find spring air? I would pay good $ for some of that about now

Looking good buddy. What did you touch up your skins with?

I used the same can of Bedliner I used for my sliders.

Just finished install of LoD front bumper.

Looks great Dave! Hope the install was pretty straight forward. You scored on one heck of a deal! :yup::thumb:

Well, I can't reveal my source as you know I pre-ordered it and it shipped a bit early, but it was in the 70's today and was perfect for wrenching. So what the heck mind as well install the spring air! :clap2::harhar::harhar::harhar:

Thanks. I looked up the install instructions online and it linked to the Project-JK page. Went fairly smooth I do plan to replace most of the hardware when I put a winch on. Normal for reinstalling some of the bolts have seen better days.
