Your new trackbar looks good! That stinks, did you just recently change rear your diff fluid? Looks really clean.

I'm hoping that it's just that seal, pita to get everything out and reassembled, but at least if it is just that seal it's cheap.... On the other hand if that is Renny it should be free warranty work.

Edit: doh forgot to "refresh" good luck with the seal glad its not Renny.

What sucks is that I kinda thought I was smelling gear oil after our last run but being that we were covered in mud, it was hard to tell where it was coming from. Cindy and I thoroughly washed Moby and parked him in the garage and being that it was a pinion seal leak, didn't see anything leaking and so I didn't give it much thought. It was only after our test drive on the highway that I noticed the leak. In reality, it's not that big of a deal if I were just driving around town but I'd to take Moby on a couple thousand mile trip that involved wheeling like this. Really sucks.

At what point is a pinion seal leak considered bad. My diff is damp most of the time but never drips. When I wipe it down it takes about a day to become damp again and I have never noticed much of a change in fluid level. I make sure to keep my eye on it. I have never seen it stream gear oil out. Is that normal or should it never even be damp?

Sorry to see Moby with a issue that restricts his movement!

I just had mine leaking right before we went to moab. Luckily I had a master install kit from when I had gears done in the garage that had a new seal in it. Sucks this happend to you. Hope you get it fixed

How many miles do you have on Moby since the engine swap (and even before)? It is awesome how much you drive Moby.......

Since we are in SoCal, we decided to make a stop at Powertrain and have our rear driveshaft rebalanced.
