This is Beth, my build, my learning experience.

It's my work truck. It stays in Texas. I work 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off in the oilfield in South Texas. Ole Betsy is my Cali ride.
So when we going to hit the dirt?

I love my work truck. I feel like I get the best of both worlds. Drive a jeep with the top off on days off and fly down some wide open Texas highways in my Raptor. I just wish my jeep ran like my raptor. Ole Betsy put out about 100hp and the raptor is about 450hp with intake exhaust and programmer! Maybe someday I'll get the LS.
For reals when we going to hit the dirt in Big Bear, Anza or something?

Man, what an awesome work truck. Do you own the company you work for? Would only make sense. I'm ready to test my Jeep out any time unless it's a weekday. Then I would need a week to get time off of work. But I am totally down to learn something new!

I'm a oilfield consultant in South Texas Eagle ford Shale.
I would love to get out and stretch Ole Betsy 's legs after the DTD. I'll have 6 weeks off starting on the 11th. Might need a few days with the wife and little one and then see if we can get out. Plus all the family that will be in. I told my little bro I was going to load him up a take him out to see cali.
Where do you live at again? Burbank?

Sounds good. When you have time let me know. I'm in OC area but don't mind a little traveling to meet up.

On my way home from work I decided to take a quick hike through Trabuco Canyon and looking at this picture of my Jeep I decided to just make my tire purchase now instead of waiting till end of summer. I went with Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ in a 35x12.50r17. They had a great deal on them for $265 a tire and reviews look good. As much as I wanted to go with 37" and upgrade my axles using my Xmas bonus haha I decided to just play on 35 with a D30. Also my 3" lift with stock fenders wouldn't work with 37". Hope my tires come in this weekend!

Got my 35s and rear diff cover. Getting it all put on tomorrow. Too bad these tires aren't 37" but with a 3" lift and a D30, I don't want to be called an idiot by going to 37"

Looks like Holy Jim Canyon.

Yessir! That's the only patch of dirt I know of that's close to where I work and live.

Can't wait to see those 35 on there! Good choice on not going with the 37's yet unless you wanted an excuse to get that prorock 44 sooner! 😉

Yeah I thought about it long and hard and financially it made the most sense to go with 35". If I do break something on the trail, the last thing I want to hear is we told you so and I'm not ashamed of taking bypasses, HA.

I'm getting the tires mounting tomorrow, pics to come.

It's hard to tell but the bottom picture is the after, going from a 33" tp a 35" tire. I do miss the obnoxious humming noise the KM2's made but I can live with a little quietness for a while. My steering wheel feels lighter for some reason. I don't know, must have been something in the coffee I had this morning. Next on my list of stuff I would like to get in no particular order are.
1. Roll Cage - Really to mount my full size CB. I would get the Tuffy overhead security box but it's 1/3 of a roll cage price.
2. Rock Rails - Probably gonna go with Concept Crawler because I have their bumpers. However I over heard that they are getting sue or something but that's just a rumor. "Don't quote me boy I aint said Sh!t" - Eazy-E
3. Trek Armor seat covers.
