Nice, I quoted my own post on #15. The mobile Wayalife app and I aren't getting along.

Well I got my rear locker and air compressor today from Northridge. The air compressor has got to be the cutest little thing ever :grayno: Hope it doesn't fail on me when I need it to work. I'll replace it with a bigger one down the road when it does though. Also called ORE and made my appointment for the 28th of this month for new gears (4.88), air compressor mount, locker rear only and installing my gussets. Can't wait!

Very nice! It will be a different jeep when you get those gears in. Do you have auto and manual? Do you have 35s?
I'm hoping to get mine back this week but might be next week. I called Drew last Thursday and said he was waiting on King to get the bypasses out. When those are done they would get in and knock it out as quick as they can.

I have an auto and will be running my 33" for a few more months before upgrading to 35". Still have a lot of tread left.

That sucks that it's taking so long to get ur rig back. I know the wait is totally worth it but that's tough to know it's just sitting there waiting. Drew couldn't give you an ETA?

Looking good!

You may want to switch to 35s once you re-gear. 4.88 is going to be a lot for 33's...though it will make pealing out pretty easy. You may want to see if you can sell your 33s as a side option. If you get a buyer DiscountTire will make it easy to get 35s on your Rig easy.

I have my stock 4.10 gears with my 35s. It's a little sluggish, but the 4.10 were more than enough for 33s.

Enjoy the build!

Well I bry that 3.6 with 4.88 and 35's woo be s great combo. I bet you can't wait to get it in there and get it done!
I knew mine would take a couple weeks. Drew did say that it might take up to 4 weeks. I will call in a bit and see if everything is in from King yet. I can't wait to get it back!

So Drew said should start on it next week. Hopefully they can knock it out in the first of the week so I can enjoy it a couple days before heading back to work for 2 weeks! Then when i come back from the 2 weeks of work the wife and I will have our first little one. He is due on the May 18th. Kinda nervous and excitied!

Thanks MattAlpha. I currently have 3.21 gears with my33" tires so I can't imagine how much a difference it is going to be. I hope I can live with the high RPM's for a few months. I may pick up a use Or-Fab tire carrier this weekend from a friend of a friend, maybe. If I do, I will definitely be running my 33" tires for a few months.

Oh man, I have 12 more days before I take her in. 12 days feel like an eternity especially when it was only Monday when I made my appointment. Feels like I made that appointment so long ago.

CONGRATS!!!!! Will he be your first child? This is awesome news!

Thanks! And yes it is our first one. That's why the jeep is in the shop now because when the boy comes I know it will be all about him. Getting pretty excitied!
I know what ya mean about waiting. My heep went in on March 30 and I hope to get it back in the beginning of next week. I'm ready!
Btw did you put the skids on yourself? If so how was the install?

My favorite wheels! I love em.

Trade you for some Rubi X wheels ;)

If you live closer ;) haha
But thank you, they came with the Jeep when I bought it. I didn't care for them at first because of the silver rings but definitely have grown on me. Now I really like them too.

My mechanical skill level before buying my jeep was a 1 on a scale of 10. And that being said I would say putting on the skids was as easy as changing my oil but longer. I was afraid to do my oil pan without draining it but after a few people here telling me it won't be a problem as long as I don't shake or jolt the pan too hard the oil pan will stay intact. Putting on the cross member was easy but time consuming for me since I did not have the right size gear wrench and had to use a regular open box wrench. It's funny you call your Jeep your heep or was it a miss type? I call mine the same thing to my non Jeep friends.

Nice. I was wondering about the install. I pretty sure I have the tools needed for the job. So I was thinking the full protek skids and some slabs was my next project but I think it will be putting this car seat in when I get it back from ORE. I can't wait for the jeep and my little to meet!
Yes I call it a heep no mistype. It's usually Betsy. But I think it needs a better name.

Betsy is a GREAT name, don't change. My '04 white Yukon I had was called Betsy.
A car seat is a great upgrade especially on a rig like that! I'd be proud to take my child cruisin' (if I had a child) in what you're driving. Do you have a build thread Dillard? Love to see what you have done to Betsy.

Well it won't be but a couple days before you take Beth in! I'm sure your getting excitied. I was not able to get my back before I left. They will finish it up this week. So it will sit there until around the 12 of May before I can get it. Might just have to have them throw some Slabs on it while it sits.

Really digging your build! I love the look of the CC bumper, thinking about placing an order for one this week. Any fitment issues or anything weird? They look good at a great price point so just trying to get a feel for them

Now that is a long wait. I just dropped mine off this morning but was in a hurry to get to work so I wasn't able to check yours out. But then again I may not because the last time I went to a Jeep meet I left depress in my little Jeep haha

Thx BigWillyStyles. I don't know anything about welding but every bead looks the same size and is straight if that helps, sorry. The bumper installation however was a breeze! For both the front and rear bumpers all it took was to line a bolt hole up and the bumper practically stay put for me to walk around and finish the installation.

ETA is tomorrow afternoon. All I know is it's going to be rough babying the Jeep for the next X amount of miles.

Was this for just a re-gear or did you get other work done. Sorry, might have been posted.

In any case, you'll be happy to regear. ORE did mine with the lift install, and I never really noticed much power loss as a result. Also helped my MPG not dip too much with the bigger tires.

Hey Jags, this is Dave, I bought your rubi rails. I know, I had my screen name changed and threw everything off. I'm re-gearing to 4.88, getting rear locker put in and also getting my C's done for now. But I'm going to be running 4.88 gears with my 33" tires for awhile. Maybe even after summer before I decide which way I want to go.

Your Jeep in the Moab thread is so awesome! That's where I want to be. Drive with my 33" for as long as I can and save? Or go with 37" on my little d30 and not offroad again until I get at least a 44 up front. What should I do?

Nice. I'm sure it will be hard to baby her. But it won't take long to put 500 miles on her with the nice weather and the top back! I'm also sure it will have some get up with 4.88 and 33's!
Well I made the call to Drew yesterday and had him throw some Slabs on Ole Betsy to replace the Pro Comp/OMF beadlocks and 1.5" spacers I had. Can't wait to see her again.
Going to be a great time next time I'm home. Have my little boy and get the heep back after about 1.5 months at ORE! Good times!
