Pretty simple. Heavy duty foil, your choice of meat and veggies. Season and butter/oil. Seal it up into a packet. There's all sorts of different combinations you can do, even desserts. I prep them at home.

I Like it... going to have to try it. I haven't been camping long so I'm all about learning new things!

We usually do tin foil, but my wife had the genius idea of putting them in these pans with a lid. Delicious and doubled as a plate when we ate them. No poking a fork through the tin foil by accident and getting burned by lava .[emoji23] ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1441840302.533423.jpg

I was wondering if we could put our first names beside our Wayalife names on the attending list. It would help me learn names before our trip. Just an idea. drafh is Angela

Hey folks sorry for the lag it's been a crazy week/weekend. My good friend got married out of town so there was a lotta runnin around.

We usually default to Ch.4 around here. Guess we'll see what iRonin recommends.

I've always tried to pick channels beforehand and it always comes to be that someone is on it when we finally get out there lol. 13 is almost always being used. We can try starting out on 4, and if nogo go for something else and just update the thread.

I'm also bringing a pair of hand-helds to keep the two convoys in sync if needed.

I'd be ready if I was yall Wrangler and ironin. I bet there will be plenty of people who will be will to try harder trails after yall run the easy ones. People always seem to get braver the longer they are there and see how easily there rigs handle everything. You may wanna schedule a tentative run on some of the slightly harder trails not the level 5s but may wanna find something for those who get brave later in the day.

Just my two cents.

And name tags for drivers or rigs will help people figure out who is who on the forum.

I've done everything that doesn't require a buggy (while I was out scouting I even perched up on Stonehenge but pucker factor was about an 8) so we can get as crazy as folks want to get. Couple ways we can swing it too, can run Wet'n'Wild and No Name which are decently technical, or bite the bullet and run FM TRO. We'll see how many folks are down and go from there :)

Edit: Anyone know if full skids are "needed"? I have only added the oil pan skid. Still need to do tranny and cross-member but undecided if I want to do that before the trip.

Not necessary on the underside, but doesn't hurt obviously. Having said that if you're on stock lift/tires then you need to keep a good level head about what you straddle. I'm running stock underneath still and the only thing I've done is scraped off my rear DS boot and "clearanced" (as Eddie would say) my gas tank skid trying bigger obstacles.

My name is Ian I'll be the one taking pictures and drinking beer, probably won't get to hit many trails we are bringing our Great Dane puppy with us and I doubt he will enjoy being on the trails. But I may leave him with my gf at camp so I can run a trail or two
