Not trying to hi jack but I have ran balance beads in the last two sets of rim/tire combos I've had without a single wobble issue. Semi's use the same set up. 4-7 oz in each and you're good to go. Keeps the wheel looking cleaner without the stickies on it and you don't have to worry about throwing weights off at 70+ mph.

To each their own. I think balancing beads are lame and prefer tape weights. Never had one fly off and never had a problem with them.

Caught the Bug
pics look so much better sitting at the desktop than on my phone. Huge tire.

I find it interesting to guess where someone's Jeep is from, based on how they've set it up. In heavily tree'd areas, I've not seen much in the way of tires stuck -way- out in the breeze. Make it a real hassle getting in/around tightly boxed in trails. Big rocks, lot more flex, longer axles with tire offsets. It's enough that sometimes you can tell from a glance. Earlier this Summer was up in northern Michigan, somebody had stopped in Leland with their well-worn JK. Tires completely outside the wheel wells. Clearly not a rig set up for local trails. Made me think of one video where Eddie mentioned Moby was 84" wide.

These tires certainly have their own presence about them--bet the sidewalls have their own impact on MPG rating:).

LOL - actually, back when we were running 40x15.50, we measured 88" wide - way too wide to be practical. Thats why we now prefer 13.50 wide tires and on wheels with a tad more back spacing :yup:
