Stock lowers

Please post a pic! Glad you found it. Is it a stock arm or Currie?

The stock lower. I have Currie uppers. Not sure the arm will fix the traction control though because the TC has been going bonkers since the day I picked the Jeep up from being lifted, and I'm pretty sure I broke the arm about 3 weekends ago.

Yay, Mommy and Daddy aren't fighting anymore!!

Honestly, really glad OP found the issue. This has to be the culprit.

Lol! :D I don't think the arm will fix it, but maybe... the Jeep has been messed up ever since I got it back from 4wp's but I don't think the arm was broken back then... there's now way a shop would be able to install a lift kit and not notice one of the factory control arms was broken right? :icon_crazy:

damn! never seen a break like that.

I wheel the crap out of my Jeeps. I'm known to break things that are supposed to be unbreakable. A very well known parts builder once sent me an extra lower control arm when I ordered a set of arms with a personal note saying, "Here's an extra lower control arm because we know you're gonna end up breaking one and need a replacement." I thought that was pretty cool. That was when I was wheeling TJ's though...

I'm actually pretty impressed with the stock JK parts. They tend to hold up a lot better than the stock TJ parts did. I'm still running stock JK steering linkage, and that was one of the things I kept destroying on all my TJ's...

I'm actually also impressed with how well the JK held up to running only 3 rear control arms... I never had anyone tell me Jeep looked like it was dog tracking... It never really felt like anything was wrong. If I hadn't have been poking around under the Jeep following the wires for the wheel speed sensors, then I wouldn't have even noticed the arm was broken. Even after noticing it was broken, I never felt anything weird driving home from work today which is close to 20 miles. I'm pretty sure I've been driving with that arm broken for about 700 miles or more... at least 3-4 fuel tanks worth of gas since I was last rock crawling anywhere.

That thing has been broken for a while! I know you're questioning whether or not that will fix your issue, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does. From the amount of rust, it's been cracked for quite some time, so in theory, it still could have caused your issue. Lifting it put more stress on the crack thus creating the issue. Not sire if that's right or not, but it sounds good in my head.

I really hope 4wp's isn't so ignorant as to have installed a lift on my Jeep and never having noticed that the control arm was broken. I've been having Traction Control problems from the day I drove it home from them though...

Had u been running a fancy rear three link you'd have found it sooner. Sorry couldn't help it.

Glad you found something and hope that's the issue

Apparently I've been running a fancy 3 link plus track bar rear set up for about a month... I'm glad the other 3 arms held up because that could've gotten messy!

On a positive note, a friend of mine that has a friend that works at a Jeep dealer has secured me a brand new set of lower control arm take offs from a 2017 JK that was just lifted by the dealership, so the arms have less than 20 miles on them. I'll be picking them up Saturday and hopefully installing them shortly afterwards... so hopefully I'll be able to sort out if the broke arm is the cause of my Traction Control issues or not..

I think you drank up All that unicorn semen, I think that's your style

Like I asked Frogmech: Please leave me out of your sexual fantasies! :icon_crazy:

I'm not sure why you resurrected the previous subject and inserted your perverted ideals into this thread, but if you swing that way than who am I judge in this day and age of tolerance and acceptance etc... I hope nobody beats you up for using the womens room to go pee or for wearing a skirt and dressing like a girl. ;)

Sounds like maybe you're more of a retard than someone that "wheels the crap out of their jeep."
