Just wondering what other members do 9 to 5.
Has this thread been started? I’d be surprised if it hasn’t.
I’ll start/contribute: I started as warehouse operator, overhead crane, in pipe and tubing distribution. Learned to operate band saws and abrasive saws, went into hot dip galvanizing, then job shop for structural fasteners and bridge systems, then pipe and tubing mills. Currently, totally different industry, I’ve gotten into rail yard management and working in the agricultural industry.
Roughly 2yrs, 3yrs, 12yrs, 6yrs and 1yr for each occupation respectively.
I’m most excited for my current occupation. I have hands on with my equipment (unicorn to the industry), over a mile of conveying and a portal stack/rake that challenges norms. Wish I could post video.
What do you do? What have you done?
