Hi all I have been planning out my build and accumulating parts since I got my jeep in September. I am piecing together a 3" lift around some synergy springs. Placed an order for bumpstops, rear track bar bracket, front track bar, procal, front lca's, and some other small parts. I will be installing the lift in a few weeks once I decide on a tire setup.

I have some time this week since i took a few days off from work so i started a front bumper build yesterday afternoon. The pics just show it tacked together but I got it welded out today. Tomorrow I will work on radiusing all the edges and installing the stinger or light bar.

Finished up welding out the light bar today. Here's some pics of the finished bumper. Going to order some Bolt on d ring mounts either from evo or pure jeep but its pretty much set right now. Painting tonight with rustoleum bedliner and hopefully installing tomorrow.

Got the bumper sprayed with bedliner and put on last week. The wife was pissed because i sprayed it in the basement and the whole house smelled like spraybomb.

Also got my synergy lca's and rk track bar yesterday so that should round out all of the parts I need for my lift install. My garage isn't heated so the lift will have to wait a few weeks until I can get a spot in my dad's shop which is heated. You guys in warmer climates have it made lol!

Got the coopers mounted today. The end result is a bit taller than i thought, I ended up getting about 4" in front and 4.5" in the back from the synergy coils. I guess I need to build a new rear bumper and get a winch for the front to bring the height down a bit. 😁. Here's some pics with the tires mounted.

No updates for a while now but I did score a Trektop NX on craigslist this weekend and installed it this afternoon. Also have a new spare on order and looking into tire carriers. Here's the pics of the jeep with the new top.

Finally got my spare mounted. Using the stock carrier for now and moved the taillight lower so it comes through the wheel spokes.

Took off the rear bumper to get it to fit and I'm kind of digging the look without it. Debating what to do for a permanent bumper and carrier now.

Not much action on the build lately the wife an I just had our first child last Friday! Managed to get some time to head to the scrap yard and pick up some 3/16 plate for a rear bumper build.

Was thinking about just running the evo fascia but I think I like the idea is having some corner protection since most of the trails I run are in the woods and I have had a history of accidentally backing into trees.

First pic is the pile of scrap. Second pic is the start of the mounts to the frame. Third pic is the top of the bumper. More to follow tomorrow when I start tacking pieces together.

Caught the Bug
Wow, I'm not sure how I missed this thread, especially since you're just an hour or so north of me. First of all, congratulations on the baby! I remember what it was like to be at the starting line, where you are now, but my kid is going on 14 now and likes nothing more than to drive my Jeep when off road. Second, your Jeep is looking great! I always liked that color and the fact that you are building bumpers and doing all the work yourself; man, my hats off to you! Now table this stuff and spend time with that baby. It's unbelievable how quickly this time will slip away!
