Just a little add on here is some of the closer up pictures I have of his rig.
And one of the better pictures I have of it is when on the way home from Daytona his rear diff seal went and we put his rig on my trailer and I drove mine most of the way home.

Ali Bombed.
Time to mix in steep, greasy mud hills, with some rocks. That's a winching combination.
Mel giving direction and having a team building exercise with co-driver doing the spotting.
Big ass rock on driver, big ass rock under passenger, and a tipsy hill up on driver side. Only 3 rigs didn't winch.
Winch point #2 for a lot of rigs another 30' up. Literally had to walk up the tree line cause you fall down the hill lol
Dave throttling out! Almost off the trail. Had to hit the climbs fast.
Next fun spot! Similar to last but bigger.

Working the 42's
Even winching and guys pushing 2-3 doors were hit and multiple fenders at this point.
One of two damaged wheels on the day to go along with a drive shaft.
Time to clean the jeeps up for a road day.

Hotel Check in at the Doubletree in Asheville N.C. Headed to a private tour at the Biltmore then they opened up early for a photo shoot the next day.

About a 45 minute drive to The Flats park where a couple locals led everyone around a loop through the park.
Dropping in.
After a quick break for lunch we split up into a hardcore group and a moderate group.
Mel non-stop up the rock garden.
I had to back up once
but made it.
Umm that's not the trail, quick winch on his rear bumper and back we go.
Haul ass steep ass hill climb.
Nice buried boulder everyone hit at speed on the top.
Time for some NARROW mud notches following Randy.
One of those roots put a 12" gash in that 52" Pitbull rocker. The left line had a 3' moving rock that Randy and I had to winch off/around.
Eric from Northridge pre-running his full throttle line
Come to find out while no damage occurred on the hardcore run the moderate run wiped out some fenders, a door, and this.
When in Rome...
To be continued tomorrow night (maybe) with a road day to South Carolina and the Gulches.
