2029 Wrangler news

They've already done a lot of that with the later JKs and even more so with the JL. What they haven't done yet is IFS. Would be nice if they offered a solid axle version as well. It'd be kinda like how they offered a 2WD and a 4WD option for the JK when it first came out.
Most of the JL Wrangler dash is based on an Alpha Romeo design. I recently saw a review of a new Alpha Romeo sports car and was startled by the many identical features on the JL. The buttons on the AC controls part of the dash were physically the same, and many of the buttons had the same artwork.

And of course the 2.0T motor is an Alpha Romeo design.

This means that Jeep has been using modern stuff used on other vehicles.

Imagine if jeep offered a dealer installed solid axle swap kit when they switch the wrangler & gladiator to IFS. If Jeep doesnt design one, someone will. I would think long arm kits would be the norm with a swap.

IFS is inevitable with more safety regulations and higher mpg standards. They just need to keep the wheel well large enough for upgrades. They could use removable cladding/fenders to shrink the opening for the soccer moms on 29s.

Especially after buying my truck, I really don’t see myself buying a new Jeep period - I can totally see myself upgrading to a newer truck one day, I’d love a Raptor or something, but for my dedicated wheeling rig it’s the JK all the way or something older even. A 4 door JL at the newest because I don’t foresee Jeep delivering on any front with the next generation Wrangler unfortunately.

After this weekend of taking the whole family of 5 on a camping trip, I'm thinking of letting the Gladiator go for a bigger truck. I don't see my JKU ever going anywhere. I have too much money into it. I'd rather keep wheeling it and upgrading what I need to rather than buy something new.

I realized the JT wouldn't fit my camping needs and it's just me and the dog... I must be doing something wrong lol

Yep.
And I only have 1 kid. Wife and I loved the JT. For the mundane day to day rip around town grocery and hardware store runs it’s a great pickup. Definitely one of my all time favorite vehicles I’ve ever owned. The damn thing is just too small. And I could never get past the bed being so small. For Christ sake my 2000 Ford Ranger (mini truck) has a bigger bed. lol
