A new look for Smokey

Haven't a clue. Chrysler called today to let me know that the fuel spilling problem has been fixed and my case had been closed. They also let me know that they spoke with Randy and was told that Moby was still there getting unrelated work done. I left a message with Randy today but haven't heard back :grayno:

I hope this gets worked out for you soon.

As do I. Moby has been there for over a month right?

Yup, going on a Month and a half now :naw:

The factory has decided that they can't make the required repairs and are going to take the Jeep back to the factory for review. However, since they are taking your Jeep they will give you a 2013 in it's place and for the additional inconvenience, they will give you an extended warranty for the lifetime of the Jeep as long as you don't modify it in any way. Thank you for bringing your Jeep in for service. :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

How much oil were you adding during an interval ? I burn a quart every 1k.

Chrysler considers 1 quart per 1000 miles acceptable. Depending on how hard the engine was working (climbing grades on the highway), when I first started the oil consumption test required by Chrysler, I was using about 3 - 4 quarts per 1000. After they replaced my heads and I was still going through oil, another test was started. At the end of this test I was using about 1 quart per 100 miles. This is when they decided to put a new short block in.
It didn't use a drop until close to 65,000 miles. It just started using oil, with out any smoking, getting worse as I drove it more.

Smokey's home. Now I have some work to do.
