As far as I know poison spyder is the only one making a c-pillar reinforcement.

I will look into this as well. In the case of an accidental rollover, some added protection is better than nothing!

Our 4DR is our primary vehicle which includes runs to the airport, Home Depot etc., so a 2DR won't cut it. This is my first 4DR and I was hesitant about its off road ability. I'm still learning it and it will change as the lift kit, tires, and other goodies go on. So far though it's way, way better than I thought it'd be. I do like the compactness of the 2DR and their ability to get it into and over tighter places sometimes but, I'm definitely a JKU convert! :yup:

Ummm, I guess you cant argue that one.. I have seen those pics on other threads, but is there a way we can reinforce the stock cage or do we have to install an entirely new cage? Eddie? EVO? Anybody? Lol

I have to agree with Rivertoys, you CAN NOT do Costco runs or IKEA runs in a 2 door. it is hard! that being said i love my 2 door. Its just me in it 60% of the time and other than that its my Girlfriend and i. I like it for what it is i just wish i had the cash for a Rubi when i got it so i didnt run into the dilema im in now with having to upgrade my axles for bigger tires at somepoint

I have the same axle issue as I wish I could've afforded a rubi as a base for my build and Costco runs in the 4 door are nice especially when having to load up for a camping or wheeling trip.

IF you ever break the 30, go to an aftermarket 44 that is stronger, or a take-off Rubi 44. With a little time and work, you'll still be money ahead on the Rubi up-charge, and/or have a stronger set-up. ....IMO....

I was thinking of trying to find a rubi 44 at a junk yard or off of someone on here that was upgrading as well. Might be close to the same price as me rehearing but it would give me the option of going to 5.13 gears as well.

Im not sure what they run, but that seems reasonable to me..

I think eddie said it best when he replied. He has run both on the trail and didnt notice any difference betwen the two. You cant go wrong either way. By mentioning stuff like costco and stuff just showing you its more room for stuff and passengers. i know if i climb into the back of my 2 door its a tight fit (im 6'3").

I've owned and wheeled both and prefer a 4-door in all terrain except for densely planted forests with tightly planted trees.

A good thing about the 4 door, beside what was noted earlier, was that it has the advantage of stability when climbing (wheel base) and although the 2 door has a better break over angle, the 4 door will feel more stable when climbing steep hills. But realistically, a 2 door and 4 door are going anywhere, some places are just more "comfortable" to do in a 4 door, and some are more "comfortable" in a 2 door. Comfort isn't going to stop you.

Looked at Rubicons yesterday. I came to the decision that I can build mine to be better then a Rubicon, but I cant make a 2 door Rubicon be a JKU.:crazyeyes:
