I am real surprised after all the u-joints I have gone through. Like I said I am not doing the hardcore wheeling like in Moab or the Rubicon.

I'm still on the factory ball joints (85K miles). I bumped up to 35's at 44K. On my last inspection they said there was some wear on them but didn't need to be replaced just yet. So I guess I'll be in the market to get a nice aftermarket set soon.

Just out of curiosity, does one normally replace u-joints when they're worn, or only when they break? By the way, that's a really unique color combo you have with the paint job and hard top. I like it

I would say change them if they are worn. Especially if you can tell they are worn. Breaking on the highway or even off-road wouldn't be fun.

I appreciate it. it actually came off of one of my other Jeeps.
