Battery leaking...

Did a run on a hot day and afterwards found my battery was leaking. The battery and tray were wet with acid and acid even dripped diwn onto my shock anyone else have this problem? Its a 2013 JKUR I've had 2 months ill take it in to dealer but just wondering its its common or just bad battery....

With your Jeep being as new as it is, sounds like you just have a bad battery. I would definitely have your dealer take care of this.

sounds to me like a battery issue! the heat should not cause your "new" battery to leak...

Ya guys thanks ya I'm taking it in just heard rumors of 12 and 13's having an issue with battery......

Had same problem with our 2011 battery was cracked very slightly when new

Ya hope Jeep does not mess with me over it! They might say oh lift kit caused it lol......

With your Jeep being as new as it is, sounds like you just have a bad battery. I would definitely have your dealer take care of this.

Hey fellas, I too have a leaky battery. 2013 JKUR with 17K. At the dealer now and they confirmed it's leaking and replacing it under warranty. Unrelated but my whistle from under the hood is a bum water pump, weird.

My battery leaked when I got on to much of a side hill. Acid came right out of the top of the battery. Put an optima yellow top and problem solved
