Best in dash nav system

The iPhone uses GPS for GPS and has for a few generations. I download maps and navigate away up the Sierras with zero cell phone signal.
The navigation app on iPhone 5 is great for turn-by-turn directions, but GiaGPS or others with downloaded maps, breadcrumbs and other features are great for off-road use.

Here is one app I have used based on WAYALIFE's recommendation...http://www.gaiagps.com/

GPSKit is my favorite https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/gps-kit-offline-gps-tracker/id287909017?mt=8

:thumb: As I said above, I didn't know that and it's welcome news. Will definitely check the program you recommend out. Looks great.

Thanks for this post. I have the gaia app on my phone. I've used it a couple of times, but found it to be awkward. Maybe I should spend more time using the app and seeing if it will fit my needs. Might need to put it on my iPad so I can actually see it. LOL!

I'm a big fan of the Kenwood DNX9990HD. The HD radio rocks in sound quality and the 9990HD has a fast interface when navi'n through the on screen options. I also think the look of no knobs, or huge buttons kicks ass and makes the dash look clean and impressive! Syncs great with my iPhone and Siri works like a charm through the speakers and audio mic.
