I am a huge coffee whore! I too look forward to my morning coffee as I'm falling asleep the night before. I have been stuck on freshly ground Starbucks Sumatra dark roast. My job takes me out of town a handful of times each year. Some of these places are the casinos in Vegas, which I have to live in for two weeks at a time. In a casino it costs almost $19 for two large coffees which is about what I like to drink every morning. Yikes! So here's the crazy coffee drinker part: I bring my own mr coffee machine, Brita water filter, and two pounds of fresh ground coffee to have in my hotel room. Basically a full kitchen kit in a big suitcase that gets shipped with all the gear for my job. So yea, it's pretty serious!

Their Sumatra & Italian roasts are my favorites, that they sell.

One of the few kitchen appliances I can not live without is my Breville.

I just bought one of these...can't wait to try it out. One of the few good things about the cold weather coming up is that I can drink coffee all day. :Wide Eyed and Scare

Went down to New Mexico and picked up some Cinnamon Hazelnut coffee. It is a cheap supermarket type, but it is very tasty. Also, picked up some Sumatra at Whole Foods. Love those beans!

Cuisinart has great service. Our coffee pot took a crap this week. Only brews a 1/4 cup or so. We've only had it a year and have done all the maintenance. Called them up this morning to tell them what it was doing. They didn't even hardly ask any questions and just said that they'll ship us a whole new coffee maker. I was on the phone with them for less than 5 minutes. Awesome service.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm BRCC.

I haven't had any yet but last month I had the pleasure of meeting the owner as he was a guest speaker at our conference. He was a great guy and sounds like quite the character also has done well for himself since getting out of the military.

I have a friend with a coffee plantation on the Big Island...trees are mid slope with just enough stress to produce intense coffee berries grown in the volcanic soil...even when I'm wheelin' & camping, I will fresh grind Hawaii dark roast beans and put them in the metal French press...best way to start the day, every day.

While in Maui a couple weeks ago my wife and I made it a point to drink the local coffee over Starbucks. Mauigrown Coffee Company had great customer service and great coffee. We picked up a pound of there Lava Flow whole bean for her sister and a pound of their raw sugar. Its good they do mail order..;). I've been interested in doing whole bean grinding with an aero press. Now I'm convinced it may become a weekend thing with the Kirkland dark roast for the busy weekday mornings.

I love fresh ground coffee. About a month ago I started doing pour overs. With fresh roasted coffee I am totally hooked.

Anyone have a recommendation on a nice quality hand crank coffee grinder? I want one for camping/wheeling trips.

Check out counterculturecoffee.com its the best I've ever had. If you're really into coffee they put a lot of care in their roasts & bean assortment.
