Cut Fender Thread

I have used this cutting wheel with the Dremel. It cuts at a lower RPM and keeps the plastic from melting and flying off. It should be where the Dremel attachments are located.

Damn, that's a great find! The regular cutoff wheels do have the problem of melting the plastic. This should help people out a lot. Thanks for posting this up :thumb:

I have that same model dremel. I'll have to look for that attachment for plastic cutting. Cool.

And the problem of molten fingertips [emoji12][emoji12][emoji12]. Never have I burned myself so many times in a 3 hr period and repeatedly told myself, "ok Brian, don't grab that shit again." 5 minutes later...

The RPMS are adjustable on the Dremel tool that I have, by dialing it to the speed you want to the tool to operate. It goes from around 500-35,000 RPMs.

Ah, you're saying the Dremel cuts at a lower RPM. I thought you were saying the bit cut at a lower RPM than a different Dremel bit.

I know how you feel. I had the gloves and safety glasses, but forgot about longer sleeves. My forearms have some "memories" of that day. Ouch!

Did it last long enough to cut all the fenders?

Sorry about the confusion. I've went through so many of the regular cutting wheels because they heat up, melt the plastic and gum up. The little gold cutting wheel has lasted me a while.

It cut the fenders and also my rear bumper, when I added the AEV tire carrier to the stock plastic bumper. I have since swapped to steel fenders and HR bumpers, but I still have the bit. Just take your time and it should last you awhile.

Oh and we used the Dremel with a smaller drill bit to cut fenders it worked well also and didn't heat up to much just have to stop every now and again to take excess of the drill bit.
