Engine Oil

Take a read on some of the old oil threads and you can see the technical answer your question, and have all the info you need about oil, and why royal purple is a subpar product, shown to harm engines, especially those with forced induction. The short answer, it's is a fair bit more expensive than competing oils, and FAR FAR inferior in wear protection, and basically all oil testing. It's not even in the top 30 synthetics, and even some dino's outperform it. They have also been caught in a heap of lies as well as a company.

Thanks for the insight, looks like I’ll switch to a less expensive, but better performing brand of oil.

Great. Just trying to save you a few bucks. The best deals I've come across is Walmart/Costco Mobil1 or Castrol Edge on Amazon. Both are excellent oils and are more than good enough for the 3.6 engine.

Never heard of it, but giving it the benefit of the doubt, IF it's as good as Amsoil (arguably the best motor oil you can buy), it's not necessary for the 3.6L, overkill, and is just lightening your wallet for no reason.
