That lagoon used to be an ancient Hawaiian fish pond...I've seen 50 lb ulua's (jacks) chase mullets in there...

Correct, they are bluegill. We ended up catching 20 of them. Didn't take many pictures we were just having to much fun catching them.

I still like fishing for them. It takes a bunch of them but they are a great tasting fish. With light tackle they keep me going and will usually bite when nothing else will.

Me holding the 36" Northern Pike I caught on a crappie jig and 6 lb test on the border waters of northern Minnesota a couple years ago. Second pic is my buddy holding our stringers from the same day, little mix of smallies, crappie, and a small northern. Last pic is a decent brown I caught back in March.
