Yup, once it warmed up it came down. I’m just impressed what a beating it took and it’s still functional.

The F-Head is a down and dirty tough little motor. After replacing the Carter carb for a Solex, I can easily get mine cruising at 45 MPH or faster if I don't mind dying

It seems the older we get, the more we worry about dying...

Owned 2 M38A1’s at different times in my life. Sold one because I was broke and sold the last one about 8 years ago because I was just offered too much money to turn down. However regret it now. Just loved everything about them. So much better than my M38’s. never had a chance to really off road in them as they were basically museum pieces I drove occasionally. Hindsight says I was stupid to let the last one go.

I’m really leaning towards a museum quality restore. I’ll still wheel it though. (Easy dirt trails).

It’s funny, we have had the vette going on two years this summer. It’s nevsr ran. I’ve had the Jeep about two weeks and I’ve already drove it around the block.
🤣

What year Vette? My Pop had a 76 “I think” with the rear Bubble... I used lay back there or sit on the center console with the tops off and he’d cruise around with me and my sis. Some great memories.

It’s a 71. There’s a thread on here somewhere.

Finally found a donor tub for the M38A1. It has a couple issues. But nothing I can’t fix.

Someone swapped in a Toyota motor in this poor Jeep.😢

It comes with a really old winch. I’m not even sure who makes it.
