Jeep JL Wrangler 2.0L Hurricane Engine?

my old 2.4L turbo SRT-4 motor was worth about 330 hp and 380 torque on the stock turbo, and trust me when i saw turbo lag was not a problem.

It CAN be done right.

I agree, a small 4 cylinder is do-able, however, I for one would not want to run high rpm's if I don't have to. Also, my biggest concern with the diesel is the weight of the motor, and then how that impacts the balance of the jeep especially once its on the rocks.

I can see it now........Crawling up a steep slick mud hill with a big boulder at the top right side of the trail. Just as I give enough gas to overcome the muddy hill I have to deal with the boulder at the top. I manage to get one front tire on the rock and try to keep from rolling the Jeep by carefully crawling by......and then the turbo kicks in..........Nothing but blue sky...BTW This is a real trail in Eastern OK. The slope is on the North side and is always muddy. Even if there has been no rain for weeks
