Caught the Bug
With regards to the squirrelly comment and steering bind, something ain't right. I have the AEV 3.5 with res shocks and it rock solid at high speeds. My only complaint about the AEV setup is the stiffer springs, but they contribute to the solid feeling ride.

When you torqued everything down, was the Jeep sitting on the ground or still on jack stands? If it was the latter, its possible you have a joint or two bound up and under preload.

Even if the Jeep was on the ground, it might be worth loosening all 16 control arm bolts and 4 track bar bolts. Then jounce the suspension a few times both front and rear. Then, retorque all bolts to spec. Make sure to do all of the above with the Jeep on the ground and not on jack stands.

Good luck!
