As some of you may know, Cindy and I stopped in Vegas last night on our way home from the Off Road Expo so that we could pick up Moby from MoTech today. We pulled into the Silverton casino just before the shooting started and although we were close, we were well out of harms way. To all our friends who checked in this morning to see if we were ok, we appreciate your concern and we’re happy to say that we are in fact safe. We are absolutely speechless about what happened and can only say that our hearts and thoughts are with those who have been affected by this horrible incident.

How does anyone know what is or isn’t true? What’s the point of deleting it? If it’s not true it’s not true what the fuck difference does it make when 50+ fucking people are dead and over 400 injured?

Yeah, still here. Tried to give blood this morning but there was a line 6 hours long and that was even before the mobile unit showed up. Great to see so many people doing what they can to help out.

Couldn't agree more and yet this thread has a lot about many other things than what you just noted. A family members good friend was murdered in Vegas, so I absolutely am hurt and saddened. I simply can't imagine what the families are going through.

My heartfelt condolences to the individuals and families affected by the tragedy that has just unfolded in Las Vegas.

While I'm a proponent of stricter gun laws that require detailed background checks prior to purchasing firearms, making them illegal makes absolutely no sense...a crazed individual will still find a way to commit mass murder with an illegal weapon regardless...

What happened in Vegas just sickens and saddens me for all those people and their families.

I fail to wrap my brain around how someone's anger can drive them to such violence.

I fail to wrap my brain around how people can post such vile as "they deserved it" ...I don't care what differences, no one deserves what happened.

The utter lack of respect and responsibility makes me scared for my daughter's future in a world that seems to have no conscience, empathy nor constraint.

RIP to those that lost their lives and prayers to those whose lives are forever changed.

I watch BBC for news now, sad isn't it that I have to watch foreign news to get trustworthy information? While our news was going full out emotional sensationalizing and fear-mongering on both sides of gun control. On terrorist vs "lone wolf" white privileged nomenclatures. Other countries news was telling the available facts of what happened and not speculation, and what else did they report on? The crowds of people that came out in support, a line that had a 6 hour wait to donate blood. A report about the people helping others to safety and the people set up to help locate and contact missing persons. A report of ways other people can help through donations. The perseverance of the human spirit through adversity.

I'll even go full on Mr. Rogers,
