LOD Sliders

I'm getting ready to install some LOD sliders onto my 2014 JKU. I've always been told welds are stronger than bolts but, LOD strongly encourages bolting them on so they'll be easier to remove. Thoughts, preferably from folks with these sliders installed.

When I ran them, I just bolted them on and they held up great. That being said, there's nothing I can say bad about burning them on. It's how I have my EVO rockers installed now.

I've had the sliders welded on for a year now. They've been solid and I don't have any plans to change them out. So it works for me.

Eddie, ever since I saw these sliders and your write-up years ago I knew I wanted them. Just had a set welded on by my local shop, and I'm very happy on the look now I gotta get back to the rubicon trail to test them...

Mine are bolted on and I have no issues. Then again, they have yet to hit a rock.

Mine are bolted on also, and have hit rocks... they are awesome!

I chose to bolt on opposed to welding because if I ever pull the body, I don't want to cut them off, rather just undo the bolts. :thumb:

Mine are welded and I couldn't be happier with them.

How hard is it to break those welds and remove them if someone (future owner) wanted to?

I would imagine pretty damn time consuming, with the rosettes filled as well. But, I will be driving this thing until it drops so not a concern of mine.

Thanks for all the info! I'm better with a drill than a welder so we'll see what ends up happening. Sounds like I can't loose either way.
