Yea it's been a busy few months. I'm pretty much finished minus working on the rest of these joints. They are a pain so far. Just based on rebuilding, I'd prefer the JJs

New hitch installed in preparation for a small converted 5x10 cargo trailer. The reciever is built into the bumper and I'm assuming that won't be any problem. No experience with towing so learning as I go. Went with an adjustable hitch since the Jeep is lifted. Here are a few shots of the trailer. Seems perfect for a weekender at offroad Park sites and I'd park it close to the showers/restrooms assuming that wouldn't be an issue. 20200516_114449.jpgreceived_705553056940987.jpgreceived_243785346855463.jpgreceived_577927802845718.jpg

That little trailer has potential!

It really does. I plan on adding an outside kitchen area or on the back and adding a small shower/toilet area. Small and perfect for me to camp with and pull without much issue.

Yeah, it’s Perfect for the way we wheel here on this side of the Mississippi. Set up a base camp and wheel all weekend

Picked up the converted cargo trailer. Gotta say it's gonna be a perfect little pull behind for me when I go camping. The owner wired in 12v and 110 to the front and rear. Plenty of lighting throughout, 12v lighting at the top and an led strip around the whole interior. TV came with it with hookups for an outside antenna. Small 5k btu ac and insulated throughout. Added two small windows and took out the steel door and replaced it with a light camper door. Nice sitting couch that turns into a bed. Battery box on the outside with a covered box for the ac. I like what he did with the rear, the table removes easily and can use it to haul items also if needed. If it had a shower and toilet it would be perfect, I'll probably add those to the outside later with some sort of awning and privacy tents. The top was pretty rusted but no permanent damage. I'll need to repaint it first, clean up the wiring, add a small sink and stove and I'll be ready to go. Nothing fancy but perfect for a weekend camper at offroad parks. I'll also probably end up getting a inverter generator and build a baffle box for it so I can just camp in overflow and won't be too loud. 20200523_160119.jpg20200523_160131.jpg20200523_160338.jpg20200523_160344.jpg20200523_160139.jpg20200523_160205.jpg20200523_160414.jpg20200523_160350.jpg20200523_160430.jpg20200523_160623.jpg

That is a cool project. Did I miss it, but do you know how much it weighs?

Thanks. From what I've looked up it's about 1k empty weight. It's light enough that I can move it myself on flat concrete.

My wife wins with me today and for quite a while. I won this at a raffle over a year ago during a topless day event but the guy who was supposed to make it kept putting it off and I finally just gave up. She hounded the guy for 3 weeks and he finally finished in time for Father's day! One happy camper today. 20200619_183003.jpg

That's awesome.

Pulled apart the front shaft. Looks like I found the culprit. Time to get the new ujoints installed. Taking them off wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. 20200620_162639.jpg
