Yep. I left 2-1/2 years ago. Spent 14 years there and yep, once you are gone you realize how shitty it is.

Yeah, it is beautiful. A wonderful place to be from or to visit. The politics have swung so far out of whack that it overrides the beauty.
It used to be that you could just chuckle at the crazies and go back to your life. Now the crazies have overrun the place and they're all up in your business. The straw issue is the perfect example. Collecting and taxing cow farts is another.
